Hello there! It’s
Theary back on the blog again. Today, I am sharing a simple card I created using
the Fruit Salad Stamp set. If you don’t know it yet, I love to color. It doesn’t matter what type of medium I am using. There’s just something so therapeutic about it, but sometimes I am very limited in the time I have to create, and using a layering stamp is perfect for a quick and easy card.
I started by using white cardstock and stamped one of the ground stamps from
the Get Grounded stamp set on the lower bottom of the cardstock.
This set is a must-have in your collection because the stamp is perfect to pair with the stamps you already have in your collection. It makes it easy to finish a scene by removing the floating image look. Which I am guilty of making sometimes.
I used my acrylic blocks with various color inks to layer the pineapple characters from
the Fruit Salad stamp set. Instead of using the facial stamps included in the stamp set, I used the silly faces from
the Funny Faces stamp set and stamped them with black ink. I then used a white gel pen to add additional highlights to the card front.
I chose a sweet little sentiment from
the Missing You stamp set and used my
A2 Alignment Guides to help with the perfect placement on my card front. I love using
the alignment guides in most of my cardmaking projects because it quickly makes lining sentiments or images nice and straight without having to hurt your brain with measurements. It is a must-have!
To finish off the card, I adhered it to a side folding card base and used glossy accents and a shimmer marker on some of the areas of the card.
And there you have it! The card Is now complete. I hope you found some inspiration to get crafty in the craft room. Until next time!
Have a wonderfully blessed day,
Theary
