As someone who has loved calling Kentucky home for the past 10 years, the recent flooding has hit close to home. Quite literally, as the flooding is happening only about an hour or so from where my family and I are located. My heart has been hurting from so much tragic loss, and I wanted to do something to help.
The biggest impact is going to come from direct donations to places that are already here helping, like:
- God's Pantry Food Bank Flood Relief
- Christian Appalachian Project Flood Relief
- World Central Kitchen Kentucky Flood Relief
I am linking them there, because I hope most of all that you will donate directly, if at all possible. But I would also like to add to that by donating 15% of all of my total retail sales (splitting between these organizations) from today (8/1/2022) through Monday (8/8/2022). I have been a supporter of these organizations previously because of the work they do, and it is no surprise to me that they are already helping with the flood relief efforts. I am so thankful for the work that they do.
