Happy Monday Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with a fun bright card! For today's card, I used the Scribble Circle and Simple Sayings stamp sets.
I started by using a piece of white watercolor paper. I used a larger piece than A2 so I could cut it down later. I prepared the paper with some powder then stamped the Scribble Circle with white pigment ink. I then embossed the stamp with white embossing powder. I like to use white ink because it gives the white embossing a more solid look.
Next I used 3 different colors of distress oxide, Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I like to use these colors because they will blend to create a really pretty purple, orange and green and I'll have the whole rainbow! I moistened the whole piece of paper and then started applying color like watercolor. I applied and mixed the colors very loosely until I got the look I was going for. I dried the ink with a heat gun and then added a little more color where I thought it was needed.
While the paper was drying, I worked on the sentiment. I put the sentiment stamp on a block and added the same 3 colors of distress oxide with a blending brush. This way I was able to blend the colors to get the same rainbow look as the card.
Once the paper was dry, I cut it down to A2 size and attached it to my card base. Then I added some white sprinkles by using watered down acrylic paint. I diecut the sentiment into a banner and added it to my card with foam tape.
Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful day!
