Freshly Squeezed Hugs & Hello Card

Hi Friends, Emily here with you today sharing a freshly squeezed summertime pink lemonade card using Fruit Salad and Food for Thought stamp sets. When it comes to summertime cardmaking, I really enjoy making and sending bright and cheerful cards with yummy fruit designs and the Fruit Salad Stamp Set has every fruit you can think to stamp!
I stamped the outline of the fruit slice in yellow ink across the top and towards the bottom of the card panel twisting and turning the images as I stamped (leaving white space at the bottom for interest and to support the punny sentiment). After stamping the outlines, I used the solid fruit slice stamp to color in several of the lemon slices with a lighter yellow ink. I also added some coloring with Copic Markers to the peels and seeds. I used a C0 Copic Grey Marker to outline the images and create a faint shadow that “raises” the images off the one layer card panel.
For a punch of color and to reduce the amount of white space between the lemons, I added the cute pink flowers. This time stamping the solid image first and then the outline stamp image.

Once I stamped all the images, I used a MISTI to position and stamp the punny sentiment from the Food for Thought Stamp Set. There are several other punny sentiments in this set that go great with Fruit-Themed Cards (Oranges, Berries, etc.)

At this point, the card could have been 100% done but I needed to add just a little bit more just because :-)
For that extra little bit more, I stamped and fussy-cut several of the lemon slices and adhered them with foam squares over a few of the previously stamped images. This gives just a little extra height and depth to the design. I added extra sparkle and shine with pink and yellow circle embellishments from my stash. To finish the card, I added the pink lemonade decorated card panel to a bright coral cardbase.

So there we are friends a Freshly Squeezed Summertime Paper Hello! Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
