Giant Rainbow Card

Hi there! It's Carol here today and I'm sharing a card using one of the new sentiment stamps from the latest release called Sweet & Simple Phrases. Ink Blot Shop is known for their classic font styles and this set is no exception! I absolutely love it! I decided to do a little watercoloring for this card. Okay, I admit, I'm no watercolor artist, but I enjoy the process so much and that's really what it's all about, right? If there is a medium you've been afraid to try, just try it! It's all about being creative and doing what makes you happy. So, what better image to watercolor than the Giant Rainbow stamp? I inked it up with a water friendly ink and stamped it onto some distress watercolor cardstock. Then, I just went to town coloring my rainbow. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and a #4 paint brush. I painted the entire rainbow then I thought, let's just paint the entire background blue. Then I stamped We Miss You from the Sweet & Simple Phrases set into my clouds. I just think the sentiment makes the card look so, well, sweet just like the name suggests! I finished up this card by adding a few sequins from my stash. And, that's it! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!
