April, tell us a little bit about yourself and your creative journey...
My husband and I are currently in the process of moving from Northeast Oregon to Texas to be closer to our 2 wonderful kids, awesome son-in-law, and the cutest grandson ever. We are excited to have our family close and to explore a new state.
My stamping journey began when I attended a Stampin’ Up! party in 2000. I have been hooked on papercrafting since. About 6 or 7 years ago I branched out and started buying from other stamping companies. Stamping has given me some of the best friends a person could want. I started my Instagram page and blog shortly after I lost my mom a couple of years ago. Creating handmade cards was something we shared, and I wanted to do something in her memory. I have grown a ton creatively since I began these new adventures. I am working on a YouTube channel next.
I also work part time in my husband’s business and spend the rest of my time in my craft room. I am really loving all the virtual workshops and retreats being offered. Meeting new people and learning new techniques from the comfort of my craft room is perfect for those of us who live in more rural areas.
The talent in the world of card making and papercrafting is so very inspiring.
