Happy BIRD-day Card

Hi Friends! It's Carol here today and I'm sharing a sweet "bird-day" card. This card was so fun to create. I love those cute birds from the Tweet Talk stamp set!
So, for this card I grabbed a piece of patterned paper from my stash. I cut it down to A2 size and did a little ink blending with dark chocolate ink around the edges. I set that aside and got started with ink blending the Leopard Print stencil. I used a light teal ink for the stencil and while leaving the stencil in place, I used a palette knife to add some Distress Crackle Paste. The paste stays wet for a little while (I think I let it sit for about 30 minutes) but when it dries, it cracks! Love it!!
While that was drying, I grabbed a cute bird and a present from the Tweet Talk stamp set and colored both images with Copic markers. I fussy cut them out and then started putting my card together. I added my circle die cut to the center of the card and I used foam adhesive to add my sweet bird and present along the bottom. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment, cut it out and added it to the top of my circle die cut. Lastly, I added a few yellow and gold sequins to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this inspires you to get crafty with some of your favorite Ink Blot Shop stamps!

~Carol
