Hello Rainbow Drip Pencil Card

Happy Friday crafty friends! I love colorful cards. Today, I’m pairing the Please Deliver stamp set with the Drips and Splats stencil for a bright rainbow card.
I was drawn to the pencils border image from the Please Deliver stamp set and wanted to use it along one side of an A2 card panel. This was a placeholder as I didn’t plan on coloring this stamped image, didn’t want to mask it, and was using it to let me know which colors I wanted to color the pencils. First, I pulled one of the stencils from the Drips and Splats stencil and placed it near the pencil tips to do some rainbow ink blending. Stencils are so popular right now and they have a great price point for something so versatile. Once I finished ink blending, I stamped the same pencils on another piece of cardstock and fussy cut them out.
This image is really easy to cut out. You can mask the images but I figured this was just easier as I would be cutting out the image, whether it was a mask or on another piece of cardstock. I reference my ink blended panel to color the pencils in matching colors using alcohol markers. Before placing the colored image on top of my card panel, I used grey copic markers to add a drop shadow to the splats and the pencils to give it a bit of dimension.

To finish off the card, I used the “hello” sentiment from the Stretched Sentiments to make this A2 card a landscape one. It fits just perfectly!

I did want to add some extra interest and couldn’t help but mat it on a piece of A2 holographic paper. I love how the rainbow colors bounce off of it.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’re inspired to create. Happy Crafting!

Jeannie
