Hi Friends! It's Carol here today and can you believe that summer is nearing an end and school will be starting up soon? I certainly can't believe it because my kiddo has been having an awesome summer. But, all good things must eventually come to a "pause" not an end. LOL!
I'm trying to get myself organized this school year and start working ahead for teacher cards and gifts. So, I pulled out the Teacher Greetings stamp set and went to work. I knew I wanted to use the big bold Teacher sentiment so I decided to do some ink kissing to my background. I just smooshed some ink pads onto my work surface, added a little water and picked it up with a piece of acetate. Then, I "kissed" the ink onto my card stock. Easy peasy!
I stamped my Teacher sentiment with black ink onto a piece of white card stock and then added the secondary sentiment, Here's to You. I cut that down and added it onto my card panel. Next, I stamped and colored the apple with alcohol markers and adhered it with foam adhesive. I attached the entire panel onto a piece of dark blue card stock that I cut slightly larger, then adhered everything onto my card front.
I think this will make a great back to school card to give to my daughter's teacher on the first day of school. Don't let the new school year sneak up on you, get those teacher cards ready now!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
