Hey You Emboss Resist Card

Hello and welcome back! Today’s card is all about the technique, Emboss Resist! And to make that even better, we’re going to make it Rainbow Emboss Resist!! Let’s get started!
I started by stamping out the outline version of “Hey You” from the appropriately named, Giant Hey You Stamp Set. I used Versamark Ink along with Clear Embossing Powder. I used my go-to rainbow Distress Oxide Ink Colours: Spun Sugar, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina and Seedless Preserves. Using a sponge dauber, I just swiped the ink over the letters then took a tissue and wiped the ink off the embossed portions of the stamp.

I then fussy cut each letter. As you get to know me, you’ll find out how much I love to fussy cut (is that weird?)! And of course, I added foam adhesive to each letter!
To keep the emboss resist theme going, I used the Diamond Deco Background stamp with the same clear embossing powder. I lightly inked the edges and corners with whatever Salvaged Patina ink I had on my dauber. This brought out the design only slightly as I didn't want it to over power the sentiment!

I lined up the letters onto the embossed panel and foam mounted that to a white card base. It was at this point I decided to add a few scalloped “embellishments”. Those sweet, little bumps come from the Accents (Background Builder) Stamp Set. They were also heat embossed and inked in the Carved Pumpkin Ink.
I really love how this card turned out and hope you do too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day and see you soon!

Laurie
