Hey You...Kitty Style!
Hello crafty peeps and welcome! Laurie with you today to share a fun, cute and simple card with you.
This card features one of my favourite Ink Blot stamp sets and actually one of the very first sets I purchased, the Fat Cats Set! I LOVE cats, they’re my favourite so this set was a must have. I stamped one of the cats, the mouse, the rug and a few paw prints. I kept the colouring quite simple using only Warm Grey markers for the critters but coloured the rug in a bright red and turquoise.
For the sentiment I used the large, outline “Hey You” from the Giant Hey You Stamp Set. This is a fantastic set with a ton of possibilities! I used the same grey markers to add a bit of shading to each letter.
I fussy cut all the images out and decided on the layout. I thought it would be fun to replace the “O” in YOU with the cute, little round kitty! I foam mounted all the elements onto a white panel that I embossed with a lace-look embossing folder.
To add a bit of contrast, I mounted the focal panel onto some grey cardstock then placed everything onto a white card base. For a fun touch, I added some paw prints to each letter.
