Just A Note Card

Hi Friends! It's Carol here today and I'm kicking it old school today by sharing a card using some older products. Sometimes it's nice to dust things off and use them in a fresh new way! I pulled out one of my all-time favorite background stamps, Happy Mail. It makes me smile just looking at it! I stamped it in pink onto some white card stock. I thought it would be cool to die-cut it out using a circle stitched die from my stash.
Next, I used the fun Journaling Spots stamp set. There are so many awesome choices in this set and I chose the grid paper background. I stamped it in black and fussy cut it out. For my sentiment, I pulled out the Sweet and Simple Phrases stamp set and stamped Just A Note diagonally onto my grid paper. I adhered that onto my circle die cut with foam squares to add a little dimension.
Lastly, I added everything onto my card base. I left a little bit of the circle hanging off the edge and trimmed the excess with my paper trimmer. After that, I kinda looked at the card and felt it needed a little somethin' somethin' to finish it off, so I added a few paper strips to the bottom to add a little more color. I also added a black heart underneath the sentiment to give it that sweet thinking of you feel.
I hope this card encourages you to dig through your stash and pull out some of those stamps that you haven't used in a while. Our older stamps need love too!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

~Carol
