Let Your Light Shine Card

Hello, hello, Ink Blot Shop fans! Samantha Ziegenfuss here with a new card to share with you.

This card did not turn out the way I'd initially envisioned and I couldn't be happier.
I used the Shine On stamp set for this card. I stamped and heat embossed the jar of stars and the 'Let your light shine' sentiment on a piece of black cardstock (to which I'd first applied a liberal amount of antistatic powder).

My original plan was to color the stars with colored pencils. Instead I grabbed a craft knife and, using the heat embossed outline as a guide, carefully cut the insides of the stars out.
I added some black and white polkadot paper to a black A2 sized note card and to that a piece of silver glitter paper. I placed foam tape to the back of my card front panel and adhered it to the card.

Lastly I placed a few star shaped embellishments near the mouth of the jar. I love how you can see the silver glitter paper behind the cut out stars.
Often in card making, much like in life, things don't go the way you'd planned. Sometimes that ends up being a good thing.

Until next time,

Samantha
