Little Hello Card

Hello there friends! It's Theary back on the blog again today. I am sharing a no-line watercolor technique for today's card using the Little Something Stamp Set.

My three-year-old daughter inspired this card. She picked out the stamp set and told me that this set was her favorite one. And honestly, it is a super cute set. I love how adorable the little characters look, and the one with the bow on her hair reminded me most of my daughter.
I stamped out the first image of the little girl onto white watercolor paper using a light color pigment ink. I then went in with my watercolor markers in shades of pink and purples to paint her dress and bow. I also used watercolor markers to paint around the image. Once the painting dried, I fussy cut the image out using my scissors.

For the background, I stamped out a couple of clouds and the ground from the Get Grounded Stamp Set and painted that with my watercolor brushes. Then, using a rectangle die, I ran the background panel through my die-cutting machine.

To add a little more interest to the scene, I lightly blended a light blue hybrid ink around the edges of the background panel and matted the panel onto black cardstock. Then, I applied foam tape onto the little girl and popped her onto the background panel. And, for the sentiment, I stamped out a simple "Hello" from the Solid Sayings Stamp Set in black ink.

Finally, to finish off the card, I adhered the card panel onto a top folding card base and added white highlights throughout the card panel using a white gel pen. And, that's it!

I hope you found some inspiration and find some time to create! Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful day!
