Miss You Critter Card

Happy Wednesday! Stencils are one of my favorite items for ink blending and an easy background. The unique part of the Pixel Grid with Pixel Grid Masks is that they come with masks for three different pixel heart sizes so there are endless possibilities. The Flopsy Forest Friends stamp set is the perfect match with these hearts.
First, I stamped the pair of hedgehogs as well as a mask for them. I added the masks and used the negative of the largest pixel heart so I could ink blend right behind them. By masking off the hedgehogs, I won’t get any ink on them and can color them up later. I used a mix of blues and pinks, which is one of my favorite combinations for ink blending.
Next, I added the Pixel Heart Mask right on top and then using the main Pixel Grid, I placed it over and did some ink blending using a combination of purples so I could start out with a light purple around the heart and then work my way out to create an ombre effect. Once I finished ink blending, I removed everything and colored up the hedgehogs with copic markers.

To finish off this card, I trimmed my card panel down by a quarter of an inch on the left hand side so I could mat it on purple cardstock. Using matching cardstock, I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet & Simple Phrases and heat embossed it in white, placing it right on the card at the bottom of the heart.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’re inspired to create. Happy Crafting!

Jeannie
