Planning for Memories
Share
Hello! It's Jennie McGarvey and I'm back today with a little planning inspiration. This week, I used the Arts & Crafts Icons to decorate my Bullet Journal that I use as a memory-keeping tool. This A5 Journal is my memory a day journal and I really have a lot of fun with it.
I love to try all kinds of things in my crafting. The one constant with me is that there is no constant! Because St. Patrick's Day was this week, I decided to try a layout with a variety of shades of green coloring in the stamped images. The arts & crafts theme was especially fun with the monochromatic palette.
The first thing I did was to use a pencil to draw the lines for my columns. Next, I needed to ink up various icons and stamp them across the center of the page. This allowed me to keep it all clean and neat. Once I was finished, I could trace over the pencil lines with a black pen. [I use a Paper Mate Flair, but everyone has their own preference.]
Once I have the layout complete, it's time for me to add my memory of the day. It can be a really important memory, or something small. I'm not picky! I feel like not having rules keeps the project authentic.
When I'm finished filling in the text, I go back and fill in some of the blank space with more decor. I have so much fun fitting in different icons in the space I have left.
