Pretty in Pink & White Slim Stripes Embossed Card & Envelope

Hi Friends. Emily Mydlowski here with you today sharing a clean and simple Valentine Card & Envelope duo using the Slim Stripes Background Stamp & Greetings To You Stamp Set.

I really love that the Ink Blot Shop background stamps are 6x6 so you can easily swap your stamping between landscape & portrait card sizes and the image fits the full length of an A2 Envelope.

For both the panel and envelope, I did a little partial stamping using the 6x6 Slim Stripes Background stamp and my MISTI. First, I placed my pink cardstock panel all the way to the top of my MISTI, secured it with the MISTI magnetic bar and then positioned the 6x6 stamp so it would only stamp the lower half of the card panel. I prepped my panel with anti-static powder, stamped the background image with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed the stripes with white embossing powder. Without moving the 6x6 stamp from the MISTI, I place the pink envelope to the top of MISTI (making sure the stripe pattern would only stamp the bottom of the envelope), stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To finish the envelope, I stamped “Please Deliver To:” from the Envelope Mail Art Stamp Set to the front of the card and for a little extra giggle for the recipient I added the “Sealed with love and adhesive…spit-free” sentiment from the Spit-Free 2x4 Stamp Set to the back of the envelope—both in VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.
For my sweet pink and white striped valentine card, I added two Pink & White nesting heart die cuts from my stash to the white embossed striped card panel. Then I stamped the LOVE You sentiment from the Greetings to You stamp set to the center of the heart. You could definitely add a few embellishments to the card panel, but I kept it clean and simple to keep the white raised heat embossed stripes as the focal image.

So there we are friends, a matching card & envelope set pretty in pink & white embossed stripes for a special Valentine. I hope you enjoyed my post today and it inspires you to use your background stamps in fun new ways. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
