Rainbow Reverse Speech Bubble Card

Happy Monday! Did you check out the Instagram hop for the new release? If you did, I shared this really fun rainbow card along with an Instagram reel sharing how I put it together.
I also share my short videos over on TikTok and one commenter mentioned doing this same card but in reverse. I was hesitant at first because the comment said to stamp using white pigment ink and I’ve never loved to stamp sentiments on dark cardstock because it isn’t crisp. I took a few days to think it through and I’m so happy I decided to create the card since it wouldn't have been something I would have chosen to do.
To make this card different from the previous card, I chose a subset of colors (yellow, orange, pink, green) to ink blend all over a card panel – no need for a smooth blend, just get that color on there. Adding a bit more interest, I used the Leopard Print stencil with blue. Blue doesn’t really pair well with orange but it was fine for my purposes.

Using the Shout Out Background, I stamped it right over my ink blended panel. Now for the color cheat, I’m just doing the opposite of what I did with my first card. Instead of coloring in the background, I’ll be coloring all the talk bubbles.
Because I don’t love stamping sentiments with white, I wanted to heat emboss the sentiments and had to make sure that everything was dry so I took a heat tool to my panel to make sure. I pulled sentiments from three different sets: Little Notes, Little Something, and Little School. I stamped them using a watermark ink, added white embossing powder, and then heat set it.
This card turned out soo cool and I’m so thankful for the commenter for giving me the idea! It just shows how many awesome ideas there are out there! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’re inspired to create. Happy Crafting!
