Repeat Stamping and Heat Embossing

Hello, friends and welcome!! It’s Laurie with you today to share a very easy encouragement card. This card features repeat stamping and some awesome heat embossing!
I used only one stamp set for this card and that was the Chunky Sentiments Set. This is a fab set with really awesome, really encouraging sentiments. The large solid sentiments are each one piece but for this project, I snipped the “You Rock” apart. Please don’t feel afraid to do this with some of your stamps! You will find that you’ll get a lot more use out of them and you can always put them back together! And…it doesn’t cause them any pain :)
Now that the sentiment is in two pieces, I lined the “You” up on the centre of my card base. A stamp positioning tool is VERY handy for the repeated stamping technique but is not necessary. I’ve eyeballed it before and it worked fine.
The height of the stamp is approx. 3/4” so I just slid the card base 4 squares on the Misti grid paper. I used a light grey ink as I didn’t want it to be too bold.  I then took the “Rock” portion of the stamp and used an embossing ink with gold embossing powder.  I used my scissors to cut around each letter…this was the most tedious part of the card.
I foam mounted each letter to the front of the card and decided some gold stars needed to be added! I used the same gold embossing powder and cut each star out. The stars are also from the Chunky Sentiments Set.
And that is my card for today!! I really appreciate you spending some time here today!
Wishing you a wonderful day!!
Laurie
