School Supplies Teacher Appreciation Card

Hi Cardmaking Friends! Emily Mydlowski here with you today stamping & coloring school supplies for a Bright & Cheerful Teacher Appreciation Card. I like to get a jump start on Teacher Appreciation gifts & cards because the last few weeks of school will be here before we know it.

The school supplies image is from the Please Deliver 6x8 Stamp Set and instead of stamping the entire image I stamped a portion of the image offset from an A2 card panel. Partial stamping is a really great way to stretch all the Ink Blot Shop Border Stamps!
I colored the school supplies in a range of bright and cheerful Yellows, Reds & Dark Teal Copic Markers and added white gel-pen accents for extra dimension. This was such a fun image to color—especially if you love school supplies as much as I do.
For the sentiment, I used the Ink Blot Shop Teacher Greetings Stamp Set. Using the MISTI and Ink Blot Shop A2 Alignment Guide-Quarter Inch Grid, I placed the sentiments above and below the school supply image. I closed the MISTI and removed the Alignment Guide and stamped the sentiments with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink—I gave it two swipes of the ink pad for a dark impression.

To finish the card design, I adhered the panel to a partially stamped Teal Stripe Background using the Ink Blot Shop Slim Stripes Background Stamp.
So there we are friends, a Bright & Cheerful yet Clean & Simple Teacher Appreciation Card. I hope you enjoyed my post today and it inspires you to get a jump start on your Teacher Appreciation gifts & cards. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
