Simple-ish Scene Card

Hello, hello, Ink Blot Shop fans! Samantha Ziegenfuss here today with what I'm calling a simple-ish scene card.

I love critter stamps more than just about any other kind of stamps and I love the critters from the Flopsy Forest Friends stamp set by Ink Blot Shop more than just about any other critter stamp set.
I especially love how the various animals in the set are facing different ways; some are facing each other and some are facing left and others right. I also love how some of the critters are big and some of them are small.

To create this card I began by masking a border all around the edges of my card front. I did simple ink blending to create a dark sky and used water and white paint splatters to create the appearance of stars.
I used the 'Hi.' sentiment from the Flair Greetings stamp set by Ink Blot Shop to stamp a simple greeting below my ink blended area.

After adhering my card front to a white, A2 sized note card I stamped and colored several images from the Flopsy Forest Friends stamp set. After I glued the trees down I added foam squares to the backs of my tree stump and all three of the critters.
After removing the tape backing I added a small dot of glue to each foam square before placing the images onto my card front. I like that this gives me slightly more time to adjust the images than if I were to stick them down without any glue.

I am very happy with how this card turned out and I hope that it will inspire you to create something that makes you smile.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and check out my post. I hope you have a terrific rest of your day.

Until next time,

Samantha
