Hello, folks! This is Jennifer Ingle here with a fun shaker card design to share with you. Did you know you can create a shaker with NO DIES? You totally can. And it's not even hard to do. I used the super adorable Winging it stamp set for this one.
To create the front panel, I cut my panel to the size I wanted, in this case 4" x 5 1/4", as I planned to mount it on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base and then stamped the little jar image on the panel. I used scissors (you can totally use a craft knife, I am better with scissors than I am with a blade, so I use scissors) to cut out the middle of the jar to create an open space. I then cut a small sheet of transparency film or shaker plastic to cover the entire jar space and adhere it to the back. I colored the lid of the jar, added the little star charm and string, and then set that panel aside for a moment.
I then created my card base and stamped the cute little bug directly on it. I colored the image with makers and then sprinkled a mix of some coordinating tiny stars and sequins directly onto the image. I then added foam tape to the back of the original panel, make sure to frame around the jar closely so my sequins wouldn't escape. I then adhered the front panel to the card, stamped and embossed the sentiment, and adhered that just below the little bug jar.
CUTENESS! And so much fun to create! I hope you will give this simple shaker technique a try! Have a super fantastic day!
