Happy Friday crafty friends! I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day but I do love to incorporate hearts in a lot of my cards. Today, I’m focusing on this really fun stencil set called Pixel Grid with Pixel Grid Masks. It comes with a grid and some negative and positive masks for hearts within the grid space!
I started out by using the Pixel Grid and inked it up with a no line coloring ink over an entire A2 card panel. I chose non-conventional Valentine colors and picked blue and teal to ink up the panel diagonally.
This is the really cool part of the stencil set. I place down the grid and then add the heart mask right over it to line it up. I started with the biggest heart and used some white paste right over my panel. This way, the heart will appear in the grid pattern. The only downside is that I wanted to add a second heart but I had to wait for the paste to dry first. For the second heart, I used the second to largest right above the first heart and repeated the same steps for the paste.
For the sentiment, I pulled out the Solid Sayings and stamped it out on white cardstock. To add a little bit of interest, I placed the Pixel Grid on top and inked it up with the no line coloring ink. It’s very light but it just really ties everything together.
To finish off this card, I trimmed it down to 4” x 5.5” and matted it on silver cardstock. I know I used white paste but I think because I used reactive ink, it picked up the colors underneath and turned into what looks like silver! I just love how this card turned out and totally adore this stencil set!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’re inspired to create. Happy Crafting!
