Hi Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with a back to school card! Yes, you read that right, back to school. I can't believe how quickly summer has gone by and school is starting again! My boys go back next week and a part of me is looking forward to being back in our routine.
I started my card by picking my colored cardstock first. I wanted to make sure I had an ink color that would stand out but also match the darker cardstock. Once I settled on these 2 shades of pink, I die cut them both, one into an A2 card panel, the other into a smaller rectangle. I took the card panel and started stamping the small school supply stamps from the Little School stamp set. I stamped these supply stamps in a somewhat random order but focused on stamping more closely to the outer edges since the inside would be covered by the smaller rectangle. I put it aside to make sure the ink dried well.
I then stamped one of the school children on white cardstock and colored her in with copic markers. I fussy cut her out and added some foam stamps to the back. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set at the top of the smaller cardstock rectangle and centered the school girl underneath. Then I glued down the smaller rectangle to the larger card panel. I saw a few blank spots around the edge, so I added a few more school supply stamps. To finish up the card I added a few white gel pen highlights and glued the card panel to the card base.
Thanks so much for joining me and have a wonderful day!
