Tornado Relief & A Summer Sale

 Today I am sharing two announcements - a tornado relief effort and a summer sale. 

First up, and closest to my heart...a tornado relief effort. As you may have seen in this previous blog post, my small town of London, Kentucky, was devastated by an EF-4 tornado on May 16, 2025. The tornado was on the ground for almost an hour and a half, was almost 60 miles long, was up to a mile wide at the widest point, and winds peaked at 170mph. It tore through three counties and multiple towns, not just mine, but in London alone, there were 17 lives lost. It is absolutely heartbreaking. (It has also been amazing to see how quickly our community and other helpers have come together to clean up and try to get people on their feet again.) I know it will be a very, very long road ahead - there are still people who are just now starting to see long-term housing opportunities come into view from the flooding in eastern Kentucky back in 2022.

When I was thinking about what I could do to help with a relief effort, I thought about designing a new product and having a portion of the proceeds go to a fund that is already in place. So I started designing a new sticker that I could use to raise some funds to donate to a good cause. I kept designing, and designing, and designing...and I ended up with 8 new stickers! And then I decided that any sticker purchase should end up in a donation...so...

for each sticker purchased during the month of July, I will donate $2 to the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky's Appalachian Tornado Relief Fund.

I've got some special new stickers inspired by the feelings surrounding the events of the tornado (community, encouragement, support, working together, etc.), and some that you might want to give as gifts to someone who has helped and supported you, and some that are just cute and crafty...because we can never have enough of those. Oh, and of course I had to do one just for Kentucky.
